WALNUT BROADVIEW 7 Litre pot

Broadview is currently the best form of Walnut for the UK. Precocious from an early age, during its third year of growth, producing medium sized fruits. They can be harvested green and pickled or left until fully ripe in the autumn to be dried out and stored. Slightly resistant to frost due to its early flowering time. The tree itself is a very small, compact and fruits earlier compared with other varieties, this is why it’s such a popular variety. Developed in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada during the 1900s by David and Jack Gellaty.Walnut Growing Tips: Prefer to be planted in full sun or light shade with a sheltered position with no frost pockets. Will tolerate many soil types but are happier in light, sandy, well-drained soils. Walnuts are difficult to establish in the first year of planting and some die-back in the shoot tips is expected. For pickling, the nuts are best picked in July before the shells are formed. Test with a pin or skewer! Rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids.

Delivery time
We aim to deliver your order as soon as we can and where possible this will be within 7 days, but this is not guaranteed. We will not notify you of delivery time as we are getting orders out as fast as we can. If you do need a confirmation of delivery date then please specify in the notes field when checking out. At this time we will only be delivering Tuesday-Saturday but this will be subject to review.

Out of stocks
Products shown as available on our website should always be in stock with us but occasionally something may go out of stock due to multiple simultaneous orders.
