The stunning new red rose variety from World of Roses, one of the largest growers of premium roses in Europe, has been named after the national treasure and war veteran, Caption Sir Tom. When Covid-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, Captain Tom hoped to walk 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden before his 100th birthday, with a goal of raising £1000 for the NHS Covid-19 appeal. What happened next was totally unexpected. By his 100th birthday, he had inspired an entire nation, been referred to as the beacon of hope, and raised £38.9 million for the NHS!

The family continued to receive scores of messages of support and encouragement and it quickly became clear they could go on helping many more people. The Captain Tom Foundation has been set up to continue to inspire people and ensure Tom’s message of hope becomes an enduring legacy. Funds raised by the Foundation are used to support causes close to Captain Tom and the families heart; including combating loneliness, supporting those facing bereavement, and championing education and equality.

Small items
Selected smaller items are available for national delivery. This will be charged at £5.99 per order and uses Royal Mail's Tracked 24 service. Orders made after 12pm on Friday, will be shipped the following Monday.

Delivery time
We aim to deliver your order as soon as we can and where possible this will be within 7 days, but this is not guaranteed. We will not notify you of delivery time as we are getting orders out as fast as we can. If you do need a confirmation of delivery date then please specify in the notes field when checking out. At this time we will only be delivering Tuesday-Saturday but this will be subject to review.

Out of stocks
Products shown as available on our website should always be in stock with us but occasionally something may go out of stock due to multiple simultaneous orders. In this case a suitable substitute product may be provided. In any case where a suitable substitute product is unavailable a member of our sales team will contact you to discuss options.
