A charming, dwarf, upright growing, shrubby, small tree ideal for restricted spaces and patio growing. Dense clusters of waxy white flowers follow dark carmine buds in April, followed by masses of red-bronze fruits, lasting well into December. Crab Apples are self-fertile, and very useful as pollinators for a variety of fruit trees. Full sun or part shade lover, best grown in fertile, moist, deep, loamy soils. Requires minimal pruning in late winter or spring to remove damaged, diseased or misplaced growth.
